A dispute led to two people being shot Tuesday night at a gas station in Chamblee, police said.

Officers responded about 8:30 p.m. to the Mobil gas station and food mart at Savoy Drive and North Peachtree Road, said Capt. Ernesto Ford of Chamblee police.

A man was shot in the abdomen and chest, Ford said. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

The other victim was shot in a foot, Ford said. No information was available on the victim’s condition. He was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center by his girlfriend.

The shooting broke out when two groups, one at the Mobil station and one across the street at a Shell station, began arguing, Ford told Channel 2 Action News on Thursday.

“It looked like they were going to get together and fight,” Ford said. “Then you could see shots and see people scattering.”

Surveillance video showed there were plenty of bystanders at the Mobil station.

“One of the bullets went through a storefront window,” Ford said. “Someone inside the store could’ve potentially been shot.”

No identities were released.
