Shooting leaves man dead in southwest Atlanta

Dec 5, 2016A man was shot and killed in southwest Atlanta Monday, police said.
The shooting happened just before 8:30 a.m. at the Deerfield Gardens apartments, in the 2900 block of Campbellton Road.
Homicide detectives are working the shooting, Atlanta police spokesman Donald Hannah said.
“The investigation is underway,” Hannah said. “As we receive details, we will forward them.”
No other details were released.
