A fight between two men ended up sending one of them to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the back late Wednesday in Atlanta, police said.

Police responded to a person shot call just after 11 p.m. in the 200 block of Barfield Avenue.

They found the victim and arrested a suspect, Atlanta police Officer Kim Jones said.

The suspect and victim, described as men in their 40s, know each other, she said.

“Both had differing versions of who was the aggressor,” Jones said.

Officials are investigating the incident.
