Douglasville police are searching for a suspect after a shooting around 2 p.m. Monday.

A man was taken to a nearby hospital after being shot multiple times near a home on Warren Drive, Douglasville police spokesman J.R. Davidson said. The man later died, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Neighbor Bill Caldwell told Channel 2 many people in the area knew who did the shooting, but nobody wanted to say anything.

“I think everybody that know the man should tell who shot him cause it ain’t right; it could be they kids that got shot,” Caldwell said.

Police haven’t released a motive but are investigating whether the shooting was the result of a robbery, Channel 2 reported.

No additional information was immediately available.
