Two people accused in an armed robbery at a Douglasville grocery store remained in jail Thursday afternoon, according to Douglas County Jail records.
Anthony Lerone Jackson and Yolanda Renea Smith, both 48, of Douglasville, face charges of armed robbery and intimidation in the June 26 incident at Food Depot, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
Authorities said Jackson entered the store, located in the 3600 block of Ga. 5, showed a device and said it was a bomb. They have not specified if the device was indeed a bomb.
He then stole money from one of the cashiers before leaving the store in a dark-colored car, officials said. Smith was with Jackson during the alleged robbery.
They were arrested July 11.
