The DeKalb County sheriff’s fugitive team made a second arrest Thursday in the fatal shooting of a man during a robbery earlier this month, authorities announced.

Deputies arrested Tilford Baynham, 18, at his home on Knollberry Lane in Decatur on a murder warrant for the death of Omar Moorer, who died during an armed robbery at an apartment near Stone Mountain, said Cynthia Williams, spokeswoman for the DeKalb sheriff.

On Tuesday, deputies arrested a 15-year-old boy in the case in the main corridor of the Gallery at South DeKalb mall, Williams said.

Moorer, 24, was shot July 6 inside a unit at the Ashgrove Apartments on Hambrick Road, authorities said.

When officers found the victim around 2 a.m., he was still conscious and able to talk, DeKalb police Capt. S.R. Fore previously told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“The victim was in serious condition but was responsive and told officers two subjects entered the apartment and shot him during a robbery,” Fore said.

Moorer was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died.
