The armed robbery happened at the Embassy Suites at 3285 Peachtree Road just before 4:15 a.m., Atlanta police spokesman James White said.
The valet driver told police that a red car with four people inside approached the valet office. Two men got out of the car and walked into the office, he said.
The armed men held the driver at gunpoint, White said. The driver told authorities the men demanded cash and his cellphone, as well as the keys to a white 2018 Rolls-Royce that was parked outside the office.
The valet driver complied, and the four man drove off in the Rolls-Royce and the red car.
Later, just before 1:15 p.m., White said police spotted the Rolls-Royce in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Peyton Road, about 13 miles from where it was originally reported stolen.
When the driver saw police, the car sped off, he said.
The Rolls-Royce hit another car, occupied by a 30-year-old woman and a 9-year-old boy, before crashing at the intersection of MLK Drive and Boulder Park Drive, White said.
The two men in the car tried to run away but were detained by officers, White said.
The woman and boy were both taken to a hospital for evaluations. The valet driver who was initially robbed at gunpoint was not injured.
Woods was booked into the Fulton County jail Tuesday, according to jail records. Griffin was booked Wednesday.
In addition to armed robbery and hijacking, both men are being held on charges of willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, aggravated assault with intent to rob and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
Griffin faces additional charges of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and theft by receiving stolen property, jail records show.
An investigation is ongoing.
