The Douglas County sheriff has posted a $10,000 reward after someone fired at the house of one of his deputies, according to a Facebook post.

The incident happened Monday night in Paulding County, where the deputy lives, Sheriff Phil Miller said. No one was injured. The deputy and his family weren’t home at the time.

“I will spare no expense or resources until you are caught,” Miller said. The reward is good through Dec. 31, according to the post.

Authorities have not said whether the home was targeted because a deputy lives there. However, Miller said that a marked Douglas County patrol car was sitting in the yard of the house.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Douglas County or Paulding County sheriff’s offices.
