Four people were arrested after two Walton County residents were assaulted during an armed home invasion, the sheriff’s office said.
Shots were fired during the incident Tuesday on John Deere Road, according to a Facebook post by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
“Multiple gunshots were fired during a struggle with the resident,” according to the post. “Both residents were assaulted by the suspects.”
After an investigation that involved several other agencies, the following people were arrested: Jonathan David Welborn, 26, of Braselton, Thomas Justin Fields, 30, of Commerce, Lisa Elaine Lindsey, 40, of Madison, and Tracey Ricky Daniel, 24, of Winder, the sheriff’s office said.
Welborn, Fields, and Daniel were charged with home invasion and two counts of aggravated assault, according to the post. Lindsey was charged with party to a crime.
The suspects were booked into the Walton County Detention Center.
Officials from sheriff’s agencies in Barrow, Hall and Jackson counties helped in the investigation, which continues.
