Police confirmed Monday night that they are investigating a homicide in Carrollton.
The death happened in the area of Bennett Circle, Channel 2 Action News said. Authorities were treating the scene as a homicide, the report said.
The name of the victim has not been released by police, but the woman’s mother told Channel 2 that her 36-year-old daughter, who was due to give birth this month, was killed. She also said her 2-year-old granddaughter was in the house at the time.
“Justice, that’s what’s going through my mind,” Slynda Johnson told Channel 2. ” ‘Cause I know, there’s going to be justice. She’s gone. They took my daughter away from me. Yes they did. But I know whoever it is, there’s going to be justice. You’re not going to be able to hide.”
No additional information was immediately available.
