Cobb County police arrested a man Thursday wanted on charges of rape and kidnapping.

Isidoro Badillo Figueroa of Marietta allegedly attacked a Smyrna woman Sunday, Cobb County police spokesman Daniel Glenn said.

Police say the 35-year-old “disoriented” the woman near 121 Beardon Drive and carried her behind a business, where he brutally attacked and raped her.

After learning Figueroa was at a residence in Marietta, police watched until he and a woman left in a car, Glenn said.

Police stopped the car at a restaurant, confirmed Figueroa’s identity and arrested him Thursday morning.

Figueroa is being held without bond at the Cobb County jail on rape, aggravated sodomy, kidnapping, aggravated assault, sexual battery and battery charges.
