The president of a non-profit organization that works with released inmates was arrested for soliciting sexual favors from probationers in exchange for community service credit.

Darrell Ellison, president of Jails to Nails, was arrested Thursday by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with two counts each of Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony and False Statements.

The Sheriff’s Office began investigating after a female probationer complained about Ellison, who was arrested in a covert operation involving an undercover deputy posing as a probationer. He was arrested when he attempted to meet the deputy for sex.

The Jails to Nails website says the organization “provides key social, training and occupational skills to non-violent ex-offenders that will enable them to become reformed, productive citizens with growth potential and the desire to give back.”

Investigators ask that any additional victims contact them at 770-619-6655.
