A south Georgia woman accused of killing her daughter-in-law called her son at work and told him to come get his two sons, her arrest warrant says. Then, Elizabeth Brown Wall took both boys, ages 7 and 8, to her car before going back inside the west Cobb home.
In the kitchen, Wall, 63, shot and killed Jenna Wall, who died before help could arrive late Thursday morning, according to Cobb County police.
Jenna Wall, 35, was a kindergarten teacher at Kemp Elementary School, had been separated from her husband for about a year and the two were divorcing, according to police. Jerrod Wall was working as an investigator in the Paulding County District Attorney’s Office when his mother called him, her arrest warrant says.
“While en route, Jerrod Wall spoke with his older child on the phone who informed him that said accused and Jenna Wall were in the house and he had heard gunshots,” the warrant states.
When Jerrod Wall arrived at the Wyndham Woods Drive home, off Antioch Road, his estranged wife was dead and his mother was pointing a handgun to her head, police said.
Elizabeth Wall was charged Thursday afternoon with felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony and third-degree cruelty to children, according to police. She was denied bond at her first court appearance Friday morning.
