A man was killed and two others were injured Saturday night in a shooting that happened after they had been gambling, Atlanta police said.

About 7:40 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Elizabeth Avenue in southwest Atlanta, police said.

“Upon arrival, units located a man inside the living room with a gunshot wound to the buttocks,” Officer Stephanie Brown said. “Units located a second male inside the kitchen deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.”

Emergency crews took the surviving victim for further treatment, according to police.

Officers learned a third man who said he was shot at the scene was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital by a friend.

“Preliminary investigation revealed several males were inside the residence gambling when an altercation ensued,” Brown said. “As a result of the altercation, several of the males were shot.”

No identities were released, and police said no arrests have been made.
