Atlanta police say the same man may be responsible for two home-invasion robberies and a pedestrian armed robbery in Buckhead.
Victim descriptions say the man is about 6 feet to 6-foot-4, with short hair, police said. Also, he used what possibly is an assault rifle in all of the incidents.
On Aug. 19, a woman told police she was robbed in her home in the 2900 block of Howell Mill Road. The homeowner said she was in her bedroom about 11:30 a.m. when a man entered, police said. She said he was carrying what appeared to be a black assault rifle.
The man ordered her to lie down and put her face in the pillow, police said. Then he asked her, “Where is your jewelry?” The man eventually left the home with jewelry worth $30,000-$40,000, police said, as well as other items.
On the same day, a man forced entry into a home in the 1700 block of Defoor Avenue and stole items including a birth certificate, passport, cash, jewelry and two televisions, according to police. The man was carrying what appeared to be a black AK-47 assault rifle, according to home security video.
The man entered about 12:30 p.m. and left about 15 minutes later, police said. He went in and out of the house several times while carrying out the stolen goods.
The homeowner returned about 6 p.m., police said.
On Aug. 10, a pedestrian was robbed in the 2000 block of Spad Avenue, police said.
The victim told police she was scouting for a photo shoot. She noticed an older-model white Dodge Charger arrive, and a man left the car and began scouting the area with a camera as if he also was working on a photo job, police said.
The woman turned around and noticed the man with a gun, possibly an assault rifle, pointed at her, police said. He told her to get on the ground and said, “If you scream, I will kill you.”
The man got the woman’s car keys from her purse and searched her car for items to steal, police said. The man left the woman’s car and keys and drove away, police said. Items stolen included iPads, an iPhone, digital cameras and a handgun.
