Athens-Clarke County police were looking for a man they believe to be armed with a handgun and having a mental health crisis Sunday morning.
Benjamin Sittig is believed to be near Darlington Station Road in West Athens and is described as a 29-year-old with dark, shoulder-length hair and a beard. He has a thin build and is about 6 feet 2 inches tall.
He was last seen wearing a distinctive red and black motorcycle-style jacket with blue jeans and red shoes.
Police are asking anyone in the area to stay indoors while they try to find Sittig.
Anyone who thinks they see him should dial 911.
