Atlanta police search for missing teen

Atlanta police are searching for a teenager who has been missing since the beginning of the month.

Police say Nya Slaughter, 14, left her home in the East Lake area July 1 and hasn’t returned home. She was last seen wearing black jeans, a light blue shirt with a superman logo and gray Converse shoes.

She is described as 5-foot-1, weighing 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Slaughter has no known medical issues, and there are no possible locations for her whereabouts at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Atlanta police Detective J. Franklin at 404-491-2623.
