A Polk County man faces eight charges, including four felonies, after being arrested in a child sex sting.

Terrell Allan Walding, 33, of Aragon, was arrested Thursday after authorities said he tried to meet and molest a child, not realizing that he was messaging an undercover detective. Polk County police announced the arrest on their Facebook page.

“We are fortunate to have a detective who takes on these cases and is on the front line arresting these predators,” the post said. “If you have come after our kids, we will come after you!”

It’s unclear where Walding was captured, and no other details on on the investigation were provided.

According to county jail records, Walding was arrested on felony counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes, sexual exploitation of children, criminal attempt to commit a felony and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

He also faces four misdemeanor charges: furnishing obscene materials to a minor, suspended registration violation, suspended license violation and a drug container violation.

Walding remained in the Polk County Jail Friday morning without bond, records show.
