Atlanta police are searching for a suspect who they say fatally shot, then ran over a 24-year-old man late Friday, according to a media release.

The victim has been identified as Jeremy Fulton of Atlanta, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner. The victim died at Grady Memorial Hospital, police said.

The shooting happened in the 200 block of Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard, police said. The victim was shot in the chest.

The suspect escaped in a red or burgundy sedan, Channel 2 Action News reported. An argument apparently led to the shooting.

“Witnesses at the scene did communicate that the victim was shot several times and as the suspect vehicle was leaving, that his legs were ran over,” Atlanta police Capt. Celeste Murphy told Channel 2.
