A 23-year-old Cobb County man is one of three known gang members arrested Thursday, a Marietta police spokesman said.
Franklin Ellis Summerour faces aggravated assault charges in connection with a recent gang-related shooting in Marietta, police Officer Chuck McPhilamy said.
Details about the shooting were not released because an investigation is ongoing.
Marietta police executed a search warrant about 2:45 p.m. Thursday at 300 Kirkpatrick Road, a residence Summerour is known to frequent, McPhilamy said.
Karez Freeman, 22, and Anthony Breeone Freeman, 27, were arrested and charged with forgery and violation of the Criminal Street Gang Act, he said.
All three are members of a gang that calls itself Dem Marietta Boys, which is a conglomerate of Bloods, Crips and Gangster Disciples, McPhilamy said.
“Members of D.M.B. are known for participating in a wide variety of heinous criminal activity,” he said.
