An alleged gang member is in custody and two others are on the run from police and the FBI after authorities said they sprayed gang-related graffiti in Canton.

Juan Estaban Gallegos, 24, of Cartersville, was arrested Wednesday, and Luis Alberto Rocha, 24, of Cartersville, and Koty Lance Gallegos, 42, of Kingston, are sought by authorities for also allegedly belonging to the Cartersville Vatos Locos street gang, Canton police said in a news release.

On Oct. 21 around 1 a.m., the trio are accused of spray-painting the wall of a business in the 100 block of Railroad Street in Canton, the release said. Surveillance video appeared to show the men trespassing on the property and drive away in an older model Lincoln Town Car.

The FBI and Cartersville police assisted in identifying the suspects, and arrest warrants were obtained, the release said. They’re each charged with criminal trespass and violation of the Georgia Criminal Street Gang Act.

Police believe they tagged the wall with graffiti because they had issues with individuals in Canton.
