Savannah police Thursday continued to search for suspects in a fatal shooting that killed one woman and injured three men.
About 1:22 a.m. Wednesday, the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department received reports of a shooting near the 100 block of West 33rd Street, according to a statement from police. When officers got to the scene, they found four shooting victims, identified by police as Jamond Heyward, 17, Brandy Council, 34, Jarrett Myers, 40, and Jeran Washington, 52.
Council died from her injuries. Heyward, Myers and Washington were taken to Memorial University Medical Center with non-life threatening wounds.
“Detectives believe there were at least two shooters in this case,” police said in the statement. “Investigators are working to identify all suspects. Circumstances leading to this shooting remain under investigation.”
