The driver of an SUV was ejected following a police chase Monday that began with a traffic stop, the Georgia State Patrol confirmed.
After DeKalb County police stopped the vehicle on Jimmy Carter Boulevard at Lawrenceville Highway, the SUV took off and police chased it. The chase ended on U.S. 78 westbound at Brockett Road when the trooper forced the SUV to abruptly turn sideways and it flipped.
The driver suffered injuries and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. The trooper was not injured.
