Police chase and crash shuts down south Fulton intersection

A busy south Fulton County intersection was shut down early Monday while authorities investigated a wreck that happened at the end of a police chase.

Channel 2 Action News reported that the suspects were apprehended following the chase, which ended about 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Camp Creek Parkway and Washington Road, just inside I-285.

A pickup truck hit a utility pole, knocking wires and traffic signals down into the intersection.

The intersection remained closed until just after 6 a.m.

Authorities have not said why the vehicle was being pursued.
