Police arrested a man Thursday for allegedly robbing a new Chick-fil-A in northwest Atlanta on May 14, authorities said.

Patrick Lamar Perry, 60, was caught in College Park by Atlanta police and charged in the armed robbery at 875 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, a news release said.

Perry allegedly entered the location, pulled out a handgun and robbed a cashier of about $140, the release said. He has been charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.

The restaurant opened in January.

Police said Perry was already on parole for charges of aggravated assault, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after he pointed a handgun at another man in February.

The state’s Board of Pardons and Parole has been informed of Perry’s arrest and issued a warrant for his arrest for violating his parole, the release said.
