The people who are linked to two recent ATM robberies in Atlanta may also have robbed people while they changed a tire this week in Midtown, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Early Tuesday, a group of armed men robbed people using ATMs on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard and Moreland Avenue, police said.
Early Wednesday, armed men robbed two people on Rock Springs Road while they changed the tire, police said. The robbers, who were wearing masks, also shot one of the people during the robbery.
In the Moreland Avenue robbery, a man was withdrawing money from a Wells Fargo ATM when two armed men ran up behind him and threatened to kill him if he didn’t hand over the cash, Channel 2 reported.
“Two perpetrators will jump out of the vehicle to run up to the victim and rob the victim at that time,” Lt. Azie Horne of Atlanta police said. “One stays in the car.”
