NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Alpharetta police say they’ve arrested a serial flasher.
Police told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik a woman flagged down an officer Sunday on North Point Parkway after Jorge Morales boxed her car into a spot as she loaded items into her vehicle.
“The lady walked over to the car and unfortunately the male in the car was inappropriately exposing himself,” said George Gordon.
Gordon said the victim had the wherewithal to snap a picture of Morales’ car on her iPhone, so when she flagged down the officer, police were able to put out a lookout on Morales’ car and find him just up the street.
Gordon said the victim positively identified Morales at the scene.
“The descriptor that she gave, the photo on her iPhone matched. We had everything we needed,” he said. “Great work by the victim to think fast, use technology, immediately contacted us and we were able to do what we do.”
Gordon said police discovered Morales has an extensive history of arrest for the same kind of crime.
“It’s my understanding it’s eight previous arrests in five states,” he said.
Shoppers told Petchenik they were glad the victim acted so quickly.
“That’s one of the great things about technology now,” said Christina Lennon. “We can get instant photos, instant video and she put that to use, and I’m glad he’s off the streets.”
