A Hall County man is accused of using a remote device to wipe his cellphone of evidence in a child sex case, The Gainesville Times reported.

Roman Fletcher Boychuk, 19, allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile, took photographs and transmitted them using the phone, the Hall sheriff’s office said.

“While conducting an analysis on the cellular telephone,” the sheriff’s office said, “it was determined by investigators that Boychuk had remotely deleted evidence stored on the device.”

He was arrested Monday, the Times reported.

Boychuk was in the Hall County Jail on Thursday on a charge of sexual exploitation of a child.
