A person was taken to the intensive care unit of a local hospital early Thursday after being stabbed multiple times in Chamblee, police said.

The victim is stable after the incident in the 4700 block of Buford Highway, Chamblee police spokesman Capt. Ernesto Ford said.

He was stabbed by people he knew, Ford said. The investigation is ongoing.
