Police are looking to identify a person of interest after a woman was shot in the face last week at an East Point McDonald’s.

A series of gunshots heard around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday sent several people running from the fast-food restaurant on Virginia Avenue, which shares its parking lot with Spondivits seafood restaurant.

The shooting happened at a McDonald’s in East Point.

The woman was stable when she was put on a stretcher, placed in an ambulance and taken to a hospital, AJC.com previously reported.

On Sunday, East Point police released photos of a man who may have witnessed the shooting. He was seen walking away from the McDonald’s and was later spotted at the Shell station on the other side of I-85, police spokeswoman Sgt. Ebony Bullock said.

He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a Superman logo at the time.

Bullock said they are also trying to locate the driver of a white Toyota 4Runner. It is not clear how the Toyota is connected to the case.
