Atlanta police are looking for a man who may have information about a deadly shooting.

Police say Carl Crosby, 28, was shot and killed about 8 p.m. Wednesday along Vanderbilt Court in northwest Atlanta.

Atlanta police homicide commander Charles Hampton said witnesses saw a man walking away from the scene of the shooting.

Video released Thursday shows a man walking to the home where Crosby stayed with his grandmother.

“It appears that Mr. Crosby was in fact the intended target,” Hampton said. Officials do not yet know why Crosby was targeted and killed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta. Tipsters can also remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting the agency at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting crimestoppersatlanta.org.
