A pedestrian was struck and killed on the Downtown Connector, Atlanta police said.

The man was walking in the southbound travel lanes of I-75/85 when a 2006 Kia Sedona hit him near the 17th Street Bridge, police said. He died on the scene.

“There was no indication that the driver was impaired from alcohol or drugs,” Atlanta police Officer Kim Jones said. “No criminal charges are anticipated in this matter.”
