A woman who was hit by a car along Highway 20 in Henry County has died.

Corinthia Cooper, 54, was crossing against a green light near Farris Road when she was hit Tuesday afternoon, Channel 2 Action News reported.

She was airlifted to a Atlanta Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Cooper died the same day.

The driver will not be charged, police told the news station, because Cooper did not have the right of way.
