A Powder Springs man has life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle crashed with a sedan in Cobb County on Monday morning, authorities said.

Just before 10:30 a.m., 39-year-old Richard Pack was driving his 2015 Harley Davidson FLTXRS east on Veterans Memorial Highway near James Road, Cobb police said in a news release. At the same time, a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria driven by a 74-year-old man from Austell, was traveling north on James Road toward Veterans Memorial Highway, the release said.

As the motorcycle approached the intersection, the Ford entered Veterans Memorial Highway after stopping at the stop sign, the release said. The motorcycle then collided with the front left side of the Ford.

Pack was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, while the Ford’s driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 770-499-3987.
