At that point, the acquaintance and two other people forced the victim into her BMW, police said.

She escaped by jumping out of the car, and a witness gave her a ride back to the doctor’s office, according to police. The woman only had minor bruises.

The robbers got away with the victim’s white BMW and a Rolex watch, Atlanta police Officer Donald Hannah said.

Witness Bridget Riley saw police respond to the incident.

"It definitely put all of us on edge because none of us knew what was going on," she told Channel 2.

Police recovered the woman’s stolen iPhone near the 100 block of West Wieuca Road, about one-quarter mile away from the carjacking, police said. The BMW and the thieves have not been found.
