A man already accused of raping, choking and robbing a 28-year-old woman as she loaded food into her car faces new charges in connection with an unrelated case, Gwinnett police said Monday afternoon.
Euqeill Williams, 22, of Buford, was previously arrested in connection with the April 13 rape, armed robbery and kidnapping of a woman outside the Golden Buddha on Buford Drive, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported last week.
When police arrested him on April 15, they said they believed he was involved in two similar attacks.
On Monday, Williams was charged with kidnapping and false imprisonment in connection with one of those attacks.
The new charges stem from a March 3 incident outside a Rite Aid in the 4400 block of Nelson Brogdon in Buford, Gwinnett police Cpl. Deon Washington said in an emailed statement.
Shortly after a woman walked outside and got into her vehicle, Williams allegedly walked up to her and requested a sexual favor. He pointed a handgun at the woman when she refused his request, demanded she get in the backseat and performed a sexual act before getting in another vehicle and driving away from the scene, Washington said.
A similar scenario played out April 13 outside the Golden Buddha.
The victim told police she ordered food from the restaurant and was loading it into her car when the suspect approached her from behind.
Williams gave the woman an ultimatum: get in the vehicle or be shot, Washington said.
The victim got in the car, where Williams allegedly choked her and raped her, Washington said.
Williams is being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.
