Atlanta police are looking for the person they say stole a car at a gas station with a baby inside, spokesman Officer Lukasz Sajdak said.

The baby was found along the 1800 block of Laurel Green Lane in East Point.

The thief took the car with the 9-month-old inside from a BP gas station about 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Campbellton and Barge roads, Sajdak said.

“The vehicle will be processed for evidence, and the suspect is still outstanding,” he said.

No other details were released. The investigation is ongoing.
