Atlanta police arrested a woman Monday who was accused of leaving her 2-year-old daughter unattended in a vehicle for nearly an hour.

Tamisha Upshaw, 37, was charged with reckless conduct, Sgt. Greg Lyon told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The girl was left with family members after being checked by paramedics, Lyon said.

The child was left in the vehicle with the windows up at the Kroger grocery store on 590 Cascade Ave., Lyon said.

Police reported that the girl was “sweating profusely” and was rescued when a window was broken to gain entry.
