After a daylong search, Douglas County officials found an autistic girl who went missing Tuesday night, Channel 2 Action News reported. 

A scared, but healthy Trinity Sarah Lopez, 13, was found in a wooded area in Douglas County about 10:15 p.m. Her parents reported her missing early Wednesday morning.

“They began looking for her and found that her bike was missing,” Douglas County sheriff’s Sgt. Jesse Hambrick told Channel 2.

Earlier, a Mattie’s Call was issued for the teen, who police said was in grave danger.

Officials searched a 3-mile area around the girl’s home on Dorsett Shoals Court in Douglasville, before suspending the search about 8 p.m. Authorities continued to patrol the area after the search and used a Georgia State Patrol helicopter with infrared technology.

No other details were released on the search.
