The car of a Sandy Springs man was found Thursday afternoon, days after he was reported missing, police said.

Larry Cavanaugh, 78, was last seen on Sunday, Feb. 11, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

His green 1996 BMW was found at Morgan Falls Dam near a boat ramp, Sandy Springs police Sgt. Sam Worsham said.

“We are not aware of any diagnosed medical conditions at this time,” Worsham said. “Our search (for Cavanaugh) is still ongoing.”

Police said Cavanaugh missed an appointment Tuesday. Whenever he left home, he left his cellphone there.

“I’m not sure who was last to see him,” Worsham said.

Anyone with information about Cavanaugh’s whereabouts should call the Sandy Springs Police Department at 770-551-6900.
