An Augusta television meteorologist was jailed Friday on charges that include sexual exploitation of children, according to a media report.

Kevin A. Niewood, 27, is accused of electronically furnishing obscene material to a child, the Augusta Chronicle reported.

Niewood’s personal page on the WJBF website had been taken down as of Saturday morning, the paper reported.
