Now, police have a plea for other potential victims to come forward.

Massage therapist charged with sexual battery

Police say there could be more victims after they charged a Roswell massage therapist with sexual battery.

After an investigation that began in July, police on Nov. 3 arrested Brian Christopher Sams, according to an incident report.

He is accused of inappropriately touching a customer at Massage Envy, Channel 2 Action News reported.

“There may be other victims out there who were embarrassed to come forward,” Roswell police spokeswoman Lisa Holland said, “or who didn't think there was anything the police could do for them.”

The owner of the Massage Envy franchise in the 2000 block of Holcomb Bridge Road referred Channel 2 to the corporate office for comment. The call reached voicemail for the company's legal counsel.

Sams was self-employed, according to the police report.

Records show that Sams' massage therapy license, which is required in Georgia, is still active, Channel 2 reported.

Police are glad the victim spoke up.

"We take these allegations seriously,” Holland said, “and we will always investigate these cases.”
