Man, woman dead in Gwinnett murder-suicide

A man and woman died Saturday in what Gwinnett County police said was an apparent murder-suicide.

According to Gwinnett police Sgt. Brian Doan, Raul Covarrubias, 34, killed Patricia Murray, 32, then killed himself.

Police have not said how the two died.

Doan said in a statement that Murray's father went to the home on Jordan Woods Drive near Lawrenceville to check on his daughter after not hearing from her.

"He found his daughter deceased inside the residence and called 911," Doan said. "Officers responded to the scene and were checking the rest of the house when they located a deceased male."
