A 22-year-old man wanted in a weekend shooting death in Ohio was arrested Thursday in Marietta, police said.

Shante Stevenson had been identified as a suspect in the Jan. 30 shooting death of 55-year-old Marty Blair, according to the NBC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio.

Columbus police contacted Cobb County dispatchers Thursday to inform them Stevenson was wanted in their jurisdiction on a murder charge, Marietta police spokeswoman Brittany Wallace said in a news release. They said he was staying at an apartment in the 500 block of Hudson Road in Marietta.

Marietta police conducted surveillance of the apartment and Stevenson was arrested when officers saw him and several others exiting one of the units and entering a vehicle, Wilson said.

No other details were released.
