Police in Henry County are looking for a man who allegedly took photos up the skirt of a woman while she stood in line at a grocery store.

The man took the photos June 14 at a Stockbridge Kroger at 1750 Hudson Bridge Road, police said in a Facebook post.

The alleged victim, Karen Morales, told Channel 2 Action News she felt someone touching her leg while she was waiting to checkout about 12:30 p.m. She then confronted him.

“His excuse was he was tying his shoe, and (I) said, ‘If you’re tying your shoe, why are you touching my leg,” she said. “I asked to see his phone, and when I asked what the last picture was on his phone, he began to shake.”

Police told Channel 2 surveillance video shows his phone’s flash go off while his hand and phone are under her dress. After being questioned, the suspect dropped his groceries and ran off, Morales said.

“The safety of our customers and associates is our top priority,” Kroger said in a statement. “We are working with the Henry County Police Department as they continue their investigation and seek to apprehend the perpetrator.”

Police told the news station the suspect will face a felony charge if identified and arrested.

Anyone with information about him is asked to call the Henry County non-emergency dispatch at 770-957-9121.
