Authorities are searching for a man they say stole gasoline and ran over a gas station attendant in south Fulton County.

Fairburn police said the man, who had been stealing diesel fuel from gas stations in the area, was confronted by the owner. Details on the name of the gas station and its location were not released.

The suspect then ran over the owner with his white Ford F-150 with a model year between 1997 and 2003, police said in a Facebook post.

The truck should have front bumper damage and a large fuel cell in the back.

The suspect faces an aggravated assault charge.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible for a tip that leads to an arrest.
