Man shot, killed outside home in Athens, police say

A man was shot and killed outside a home in Athens Friday afternoon, police said.

Rodriguez Rucker, 32, was found dead from a gunshot wound near a home on Royal Court around 3:20 p.m., Athens police said in a news release.

Witnesses told police a 1990s-era Chevrolet pickup truck with silver or gray rims was seen leaving the scene around the time of the shooting, the release said. The truck was faded black in color.
