Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed at a Cobb County home Tuesday evening, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Sandell Trail in Marietta shortly before 8 p.m. after receiving a call about a person shot, Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Wayne Delk said in a news release.

They found 36-year-old Omar Grayson with a single gunshot wound to the chest. The Marietta man was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital but later died of his injuries, police said.

It wasn’t immediately clear Wednesday what led to the shooting or whether police have identified any suspects in the case.
