A 23-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday in southwest Atlanta, police said.

Officers responded to apartments in the 3300 block of Mount Gilead Road and found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound, spokesman Donald Hannah said.

The man was identified as Rashad William of Atlanta, a Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office spokeswoman said.

Further details were not available. The investigation is ongoing.
