Man shot dead in southwest Atlanta identified

A 20-year-old man who was found shot dead in southwest Atlanta early Tuesday morning has been identified by the Fulton County medical examiner.

Antonio McBride of Atlanta was found in some bushes in the 100 block of Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard near Parsons Street at about 4:30 a.m., according to Atlanta police dispatchers.

He had been shot multiple times.

Police are continuing their investigation.

A white Lincoln Town Car appeared to be involved in the shooting, Atlanta police Major Adam Lee III told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“There may be five suspects that were in the area when the shooting occurred,” Lee said. “Right now, we don’t know exactly what the motive is, but we are looking for these individuals and this white Town Car at this time.”
